        4.5: Calcite & Corosex Cartridges

Calcite media (Calcium Carbonate aka crushed white marble) slowly dissolves in acidic water as it passes through the media. This increases the pH and Alkalinity of the water; which helps prevent corrosion of pipes and fixtures.

Corosex media (Magnesium Oxide) dissolves in acidic water as it passes through the media. This increases the pH and Alkalinity of water; which helps prevent corrosion of pipes and fixtures.
To cover a wider range of acidic water, and to cater to varying flow rates, it is recommended to mix Calcite media and Corosex media.

        Features:

        • Increase pH and Alkalinity of the water
        • Prevent corrosion of pipes and fixtures
        • Fits standard size and large diameter size housings

        Applications:

        • Make aggressive acidic water more balanced
        • Post filter on RO or DI systems to increase mineral content
        • Pre-treatment and post-treatment filter on a multi-stage configuration
        • Residential, commercial, and industrial applications
